In 2021 Sajana Godar and a small group of friend and family founded Universal Love.

Universal Love is a non-profit charitable organization, incorporated in California, USA with a project center in Pokhara, Nepal. This is a formatted and incorporated extension of the work Sajana has been doing for the last 27 years, which includes a variety of social services ranging from charitable fundraising, educational outreach, natural disaster support, mindfulness and wellness services, and more.

Within the programming of Universal Love, one is encouraged both to undertake social service programs, as well as self compassion programs. By practicing both these perspectives simultaneously, one begins to see how they feed into one another. In serving others, one is nourishing oneself. In nourishing oneself, one is serving others.
